Biography
I am an interdisciplinary researcher with a main interest in human-environment interactions and sustainability. My research revolves around topics at the intersection of society and ecosystems, such as biodiversity and wildlife, ecosystem services and disservices, livelihoods and human well-being, and the role of governance in shaping social-ecological system dynamics. Transdisciplinarity, the active involvement of stakeholders, is an important component in my research.
My current research projects focus on the influence of social-ecological histories on human-wildlife interactions and on the transformation of food systems towards more sustainable systems.
